About Technex Talent

TechNex Talent is a specialist recruitment consultancy focused exclusively on the US automation, robotics, and industrial engineering market. Built on deep engineering recruitment experience

TechNex Talent is led by Managing Director Paul Barling, who brings over 25 years of experience working across engineering and specialist technical recruitment.

Paul began his career as an electronics test engineer, giving him hands-on experience of engineering environments and systems. Over the past two and a half decades, he has successfully delivered recruitment assignments involving PLC and controls engineers, embedded software engineers, and industrial systems specialists, including roles working with SCADA, MATLAB, and low-level engineering software.

This technical background shapes how TechNex Talent operates today — with a clear understanding of what engineering teams actually need, beyond job titles alone.
